Philip J. Tarnoff, Director of the Center for Integrated Transportation Systems Management (CITSM) has been appointed to chair a review panel of the Interstate 64 West Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT). The panel will be responsible for reviewing the operations and procedures for good management of the tunnel, the review and recommendations will be presented to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Commissioner David S. Ekern.

The first meeting of the panel is scheduled for August 10, 2009. For more information about this review panel, please read VDOTs news release (pdf).
